Character Rigging Lead
Hi,
I'm Eli, a passionate rigging artist with 7 years of experience bringing creatures to life.
Over the years, I’ve built my skills in various aspects of character rigging, specializing in realistic final deformations.
I recently lead the rigging team on Mufasa: The Lion King at MPC, where I was responsible for all character rigging and managed a team split across multiple sites.
I have extensive experience creating animation-ready rigs, deformation rigs, and facial rigs in Maya.
Additionally, I’m skilled in coding, particularly in C++ for the Maya API, as well as MEL and Python for developing scripts and tools that streamline workflows.
I also have some experience with Houdini, using Vellum for cloth and muscle simulation, and leveraging Python and VEX to create custom tools for artists. My experience with Unreal may be limited, but I have worked with it in the context of animation.
Feel free to contact me about any rigging opportunities.
In 2025 I received a nomination for "Outstanding Animated Character in a Photoreal Feature" for the work on the Taka in “Mufasa: The Lion King” at the 23rd Annual Visual Effects Society Awards.
